HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.- The Bryn Mawr Owls fought hard but ultimately fell to Centenary University in a tough road game on Saturday afternoon at the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center. Despite a strong effort in the second half, the Owls were unable to secure a victory and fell to the Cyclones, 75-49.

Despite a slow start, Bryn Mawr's defense showed flashes of resilience, with Jessica Smith leading the effort in the opening frame. Smith tallied four points and a steal in the quarter, while Daphne Bracker Sturm recorded a key block to disrupt Centenary's momentum. The Owls grabbed eight rebounds, including four offensive boards, to create second-chance opportunities.

Bryn Mawr's offense began to find their footing during the second quarter as they added 12 points in the period. Cameron Richter drained a three-pointer to energize the team, while Hannah Mack provided crucial defensive stops with rebounds and steals. Richter recorded a career high of 12 points and tallied three assists against the Cyclones.

After the break, Bryn Mawr came out with a newfound offensive confidence. The Owls cashed in 17 points. Smith caught fire during the third frame, scoring eight points. She finished the day with 19 points, eight rebounds, and four steals. Richter added a three-pointer, and Mack chipped in with a jumper and solid defense in the paint. Bryn Mawr's scrappy defense forced several Centenary turnovers which gave the Owls momentum to chip away at the Cyclones' lead.

Bryn Mawr continued to battle in the final frame, with Smith and Mack leading the charge. Smith's aggressive drives resulted in multiple layups, and Mack's hustle on both ends contributed four points and crucial rebounds. Bracker Sturm also chipped in a key layup off a Richter assist during the fourth. They anchored the Owls' defense with five rebounds and a block, while contributing 4 points offensively.
