BRYN MAWR, PA- Bryn Mawr volleyball fell to Dickinson College in their Centennial Conference opener at the Class of 1958 Gymnasium on Saturday evening. The Owls battled the Red Devils throughout the match but came up short and fell, 3-0.

Bryn Mawr volleyball came out hot in set number one to win the first five points of the match. After the Red Devils answered with a few points of their own, Bryn Mawr fired back. The Owls capitalized on Dickinson's slow start and with kills from first-years Zara Kepler and Lyra Aubry, Bryn Mawr increased their lead to 9-4. Kepler led the Owls in kills with eight throughout the match.

Later in set one, the Owls made another run that started with a service ace from first-year Adelaide Grace. Grace served for four straight points to put the Owls ahead, 14-4. Dickinson did not back down and made a run of their own for eight straight points to take the lead, 17-16. With momentum in their favor, the Red Devils went on a six-point run to win set one, 25-18.

Again, in set two Bryn Mawr earned the first three points behind an ace from Kepler. Dickinson answered with four consecutive of their own to go up, 8-4. The Owls and Red Devils traded short runs throughout the set, however Dickinson increased their lead by seven points and the Owls did not close the gap.

Dickinson attacked during the third and final set of the match, answering Bryn Mawr's first two points with five consecutive points of their own. Bryn Mawr chipped away at Dickinson's lead and managed to get within five points of the visitors. Ultimately, the Red Devils pulled away with a 25-20 win in set three.
