BRYN MAWR, PA- The Owls matched up with the Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy University in a non-conference match on Wednesday evening in the Class of 1958 Gymnasium. Bryn Mawr volleyball faced a seasoned Gwynedd Mercy team and fell, 3-0.

For the first three points of set two, the Owls and Griffins went back and forth. With the set at 3-3, Elise Perry was up to serve for the Owls. Perry served for three points and earned a service ace. The Owls maintained proximity with Gwynedd Mercy throughout the set. Sophomore setter, Omi Oliver connected with first-year outside hitter Adelaide Grace to put the Owls up one. Grace then served for four points and earned an ace. The rest of the set was a back-and-forth battle between the opponents. The Griffins walked away from set two with a 26-24 win.

Bryn Mawr took the early lead in set three, going up 4-1. The Owls held on to a 9-11 lead against the Griffins, however Gwynedd Mercy battled back. Annalise Kuppel served for nine consecutive points for the Griffins to reclaim the lead, 19-11. Tula Reihman answered for the Owls with a kill. Bryn Mawr did not find an answer to the Griffins' attack and fell, 25-14.
