BRYN MAWR, PA – The Bryn Mawr volleyball team welcomed Cairn to the Class of 1958 Gymnasium earlier Tuesday evening. The Owls outshot the Highlanders 108-100, but the Highlanders led in kills with 38-23 and won the day, 3-0 with a hitting percentage of .240.
Highlights:
- Emma Loller led the Owls with 10 kills in her first match back. Cairn was led by Hendryl Peabody with 13 kills.
- Cairn had their strongest hitting percentage of the day in the second set with an impressive .407 and only four errors.
- Elise Perry collected two solo blocks for Bryn Mawr. The first occurred in the second set to take an early lead over the Highlanders while the second came late in the third set at 20-17. Loller, Lyra Aubry, and Tula Reihman also recorded bock assists on the day.
- Owls' libero Charlotte Mullen led the Owls with 13 digs while fellow first-year Zara Kepler served two aces.
