BRYN MAWR, P.A.- Bryn Mawr volleyball won on Tuesday evening in their first home match in the Class of 1958 Gymnasium winning 3-1 against Bryn Athyn College. The Owls put on a dominant showing in front of the home crowd, outperforming the Lions in points, kills, digs, aces, blocks, and assists. Bryn Mawr has now won the last four matchups against Bryn Athyn.

After the Owls faced a set-back in set one, they returned to the floor ready to battle the Lions. The second set began with a trading of service errors between the teams, but first-year setter Emily Brennan put the ball in play and served for four straight points to put the Owls up 14-6. First-years Tula Reihman and Lyra Aubry contributed to Bryn Mawr's defense as they earned themselves a crucial block in set two that increased the Owl's lead to 18-9. Throughout the match, Aubry and Reihman tallied four blocks apiece. With the first-years finding their footing in their first home match, the Owls took set two winning 25-14.

Set number three was all the Owls as they went up 5-2 early on. Mullen served for five straight points and earned two service aces to extend Bryn Mawr's lead 13-5. Mullen racked up three aces throughout the match. Behind kills from six different Owls, Bryn Mawr secured set three, 25-15.

The fourth and final set of the match had the Owls swinging on all accounts. Junior Elise Perry tallied six kills and two aces in the fourth set alone. Perry finished the match with 13 kills, four aces, two digs and one block. Behind Perry's 57.9 attack percentage, the Owls won 25-14 in set four to win the match.
