LA PLUME, PA – The Bryn Mawr soccer program erupted for a season-high seven goals in a 7-0 shutout win at Keystone on Saturday evening. Six different Owls scored on the night with junior
Daniela Dosen scoring a career-high two goals and three Owls tallying a first career goal. The Owls continue to make history this season, as tonight's seven goals are the most goals scored by Bryn Mawr since 2007 in their 7-1 win vs Lincoln (Pa).
Highlights:
- Sophomore midfielder Rece Anton scored Bryn Mawr's first goal of the game. Less than two minutes into the first half, Anton gained a breakaway for her first goal of the season with an assist by senior captain Sarah Lohrey.
- The scoreboard remained stunted until 20:54 when Anton assisted on the Owls' second goal as Beatriz da Silva shot out of the reach of the Keystone goalkeeper.
- Forwards Dosen and Lourdes Sankar tag teamed Bryn Mawr's next two goals with Dosen earning a career-high two goals. In her first, Dosen shot passed both Keystone defenders from behind the 10 yard line into the back of the net. Minutes later, Dosen returned for her second goal. First-year Alexandra Morales made a throw in to Sankar who assisted Dosen on bringing the score to 4-0.
- The Owls wasted no time in the second half. After two assists in the opening 45 minutes, Sankar made her own mark at 49:11. A touch from Morales's shin proved exactly what Sankar needed, as she reflected the touch with her own shot clean above the Keystone goalkeeper's head for her first career goal.
- First-year Lanie Thompson joined the scoring frenzy at the 56:15 mark. A corner kick taken by da Silva was perfectly aimed to Thompson who slipped past the defenders with grace for her first career goal.
- One last Owl earned a first career goal on the night. After two shot attempts, sophomore Sofia Huie-Pasigan finally found her opening to score Bryn Mawr's seventh and final goal against Keystone at 79:00.
