Becker, Franklin, and Sullivan Score Hat Tricks Against Utica

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr lacrosse team welcomed the Pioneers of Utica to Applebee Field earlier Saturday in a spring break game for both teams. Three Owls – #1 Margot Becker, #16 Camille Franklin, and #23 Maddie Sullivan - brought in hat tricks, but a Utica 10-point lead at the start of the second quarter foreshadowed the eventual 21-9 score for the Pioneers.

Highlights:
  • Utica got the scoring started early with a 10-0 lead in the first quarter.
  • Becker recorded the Owls' first goal of the game early in the second quarter. At 11:58, Franklin brought in the Owls' second goal of the game with an assist by Sullivan. Franklin went on to record a hat trick for the fourth game in a row this season.
  • Sullivan tallied her first goal of the game in the last minute of the third quarter. She went on to record her own hat trick, Sullivan's first this season, with two more goals in the final stanza.
  • Becker earned her first career hat trick at 1:32 left in the game with an assist by #10 Fiona McHale.
The Owls will rest over spring break before returning to the field on March 19th for an away game at Bryn Athyn.
