FAIRFAX, VA – The Bryn Mawr rowing team traveled to Virginia on Saturday morning to race in the Head of the Occoquan Regatta, a full 5k course with numerous challenging turns and strategic moves along the course. Bryn Mawr competed in the Varsity, JV and Novice 8+ events. Each event saw competition from in conference DIII teams, and DI teams as well.
Highlights:
- In the Novice 8+ Event, Bryn Mawr finished 9/13th with a time of 23:54. Bryn Mawr placed ahead of DI teams Loyola and George Mason, and the DIII team St. John's College.
- In the JV 8+ Event, Bryn Mawr placed 9/13, with a time of 20:10, finishing ahead of DI teams George Mason and Robert Morris.
- In the Varsity 8+, the Owls placed 10th/16th with a time of 18:59. Bryn Mawr completed the course ahead of in-conference competition, Catholic University.
The Owls will complete their fall season in Mercer, NJ on Saturday, November 9
