SHELTON, CT- Bryn Mawr rowing opened up their fall season at the Head of the Housatonic regatta at the Indian Well State Park on Saturday morning. The Owls competed in the Women's Collegiate V8+, Women's Open 4+ and the Women's Open 2x.

Highlights:

• Bryn Mawr kicked off the day at 10:20 AM in the Women's Collegiate V8+ against boats from Connecticut College, Trinity College, and the Coast Guard Academy. The Owls placed sixth and crossed the finish line in 16:40.16.
• In the afternoon, the V4+ boat took to the water against DI competition. Bryn Mawr took home a 15^th place finish, in a time of 20:26.392. The race also marked collegiate debuts for Alexis Kuhn, Ava Barham and Coxswain Francesca Strockbine.
• In their final event of the day, the Owls competed in the Women's Open 2x race. Bryn Mawr competed against Lehigh University and placed third with a time of 23:13.725. Juliana Vair made her collegiate debut during the race.
