Owls Dominant in Win at Home to Remain Undefeated

BRYN MAWR, PA- Bryn Mawr basketball secured a win at home on Wednesday night in the Class of 1958 Gymnasium against the visiting Ravens of Rosemont College. The Owls remained relentless offensively and defensively against Rosemont. With the 69-46 win, the Owls start the season 4-0 which is the first time since 1991. 

Highlights: 

  • Bryn Mawr's defense limited Rosemont's offensive effectiveness throughout the game and were able to turn their defense into offense tallying 13 steals and 28 points off turnovers. Daphne Bracker-Sturm stacked up three steals for the home team. 

  • Three different Owls scored in the double-digits on Wednesday night, including sophomore Bracker-Sturm, Jessica Smith, and Hannah Mack. Mack cashed in career-high 18 points, Smith tallied 16, and Bracker-Sturm had 11 against the Ravens. The scoring trio shot an impressive 48.8% from the field to lead Bryn Mawr to a win. 

  • Senior Sena Kaper-Dale pounded the boards for Bryn Mawr and pulled down seven rebounds, five of them offensive boards. 

  • Defensively, Mack stuffed three Ravens to earn three blocks on the night. 

Bryn Mawr basketball turns their attention to Friday November 16th, as they travel to Baltimore, MD for the Goucher College Invitational tournament.
