COLLEGEVILLE, PA- The Owls traveled to Collegeville, PA on Wednesday night for a Centennial Conference match-up against #17 Ursinus College. Bryn Mawr made a push in the second half however; the Bears' first half goals prevented an Owls' comeback. Bryn Mawr fell to Ursinus, 2-1.

Highlights:

  • Bryn Mawr began the second half on the attack and looked to get on the board. At 31:47, the Owls earned a penalty corner against the Bears. Annick van Blerkom entered the ball to the top of the circle and senior captain Novy Goetgeluk sent a rocket shot to the back of the cage for a Bryn Mawr goal.

  • Ursinus answered the Owls' offensive attack with one of their own, however Bryn Mawr's defense held strong. At 44:13, the Bears drew a penalty corner. Senior midfielder Eva Yacura stormed out of the cage to lead Bryn Mawr's defense and blocked an Ursinus shot attempt.
