HAVERFORD, PA – The Bryn Mawr cross country team headed to Haverford earlier Friday afternoon to compete in the Haverford Invitational. The Owls pushed past Rutgers-Camden to finish sixth at the meet in team competition in the Owls' final tune-up of the regular season.
Highlights:
- Senior captain Sohini Sarkar (22:24.7) led out the Owls with an opening mile of 6:35, but did not manage to hold pace with Eva Ackley (21:32.3) and Cora Rosin (21:39.1) who finished first and second for the Owls.
- Sarkar finished third for the team with Lena Arany (22:50.7) and Emma Smirk (23:58) close behind.
- McKayla Reyer (25:52.9) and Phylicia Cannon (27:10.6) rounded out the top seven.
- Ackley and Arany both set 5k personal records on the evening.
