GALLOWAY TWP. N.J. – Senior Lauren Kitay (23:22.3) led the Owls to a 10th place team finish earlier Saturday at the NCAA Metro Regional Championships held at Stockton University. Kitay's 25th place individual finish marks the highest Metro Region finish all-time and the highest regional placement by an Owl since 2013. The teams' 10th place finish marks the highest all-time regional finish for the cross country program.

 Highlights:
  • Sofie Prieto (24:24.8) finished 56th overall, marking one of the best 1-2 finishes by the Owls since 2015. Prieto led out a pack of three other Owls through the first mile before pulling ahead of the group for a near PR finish.
  • Malin Just (24:37.6) moved into third place on the team and 66th overall. Just's finish was only 9.1 seconds off her PR and represents the highest all-time Regional place by the third runner for the Owls.
  • Rosa Carbon (25:05.8) capped off a stellar first year on the team to finish fourth for the Owls. Like Just, Carbon's finish is the highest Regional place by the fourth place Owl all-time. Carbon also locks in a top 10 all-time Regional performance by a first year.
  • Newcomer Eva Ackley (25:05.9) rounded out the top five with a 76th place finish and only seven seconds off her PR. Ackley and Carbon combined for a final push in the last 300m race to move the Owls past Montclair St for the top 10 finish in the Region.
  • Megan McDonald (25:09.2) returned from an injury to land the second largest PR at Regionals in program history. She also knocked over 90s seconds off her PR from earlier this season. McDonald's finish displaced the fourth and fifth place finishers from Montclair State and ensured a 10th place finish for the Owls.
  • Cora Rosin (25:57.4) ran a season best for the Owls and finished in 100th place. This is the first time in program history all seven of the Owls have finished in the top 100 at the NCAA Regional Championships.
  • The team also placed ahead of Centennial Conference rivals Ursinus (#13) and Muhlenberg (#16).
