BRYN MAWR, PA – The Bryn Mawr tennis team welcomed Shippensburg to campus earlier Wednesday in what would become a historic win for the tennis program. Prior to the match, Head Coach Doanh Wang held the second most all-time winning record for a Bryn Mawr tennis coach at 52 wins. The Owls played their hearts out for a 6-1 win to give their coach his 53^rd win, and Coach Wang became the winningest tennis coach in Bryn Mawr history.
Highlights:

• The Owls swept Shippensburg in doubles, grabbing all three matches. Kelli Eng and Lowrey West played No. 1 doubles and won their match (6-1). A new pairing of Sophie Fenster and Gioanna Zhao competed at No. 2 doubles to win their match (7-5), while the first-year duo of Carina Roberts and Claire Emanuel won their match at No. 3 doubles (6-2).
• In singles, Bryn Mawr won all but one match. At the top spot, Fenster only dropped a single game in the second set (6-0, 6-1). West had a similar result to also only drop games in the second set (6-0, 6-4).
• Eng, at No. 3 singles, competed in a hard fought three set match, but as usual, the sophomore pulled out the win (6-2, 1-6, 6-3).
• First-years Emanuel and Roberts won their matches at No. 5 and 6 with respective scores of 6-2, 7-5 and 6-2, 6-3.
