BRYN MAWR, PA- Bryn Mawr soccer faced the visiting Mules of Muhlenberg College Wednesday afternoon on Applebee Field. The Owls and Mules met on the pitch for the 25th time in program history. Bryn Mawr had a strong defensive showing against the Mules, but the visitors pulled away with a 3-1 win.

The Owls and Muhlenberg battled during the opening minutes of game play. Muhlenberg pressured Bryn Mawr's defense and kept the ball in Owls' territory for most of the half. Goalie Maeve Slemko staved off the Muhlenberg offensive attack with two saves, however the Mules kept attacking and netted two goals by the end of the first 45 minutes.

After Muhlenberg scored two goals in the first half, Bryn Mawr returned to the pitch looking to respond. Three minutes into the half, Sarah Walker took a header shot on goal but did not connect for the Owls. Bryn Mawr and Muhlenberg went back and forth during the last 45 minutes on the pitch. The visitors netted a third goal at 65:37, which widened the gap for the Mules.
Bryn Mawr soccer turns their attention to Saturday, October 19th at 3:00 PM EST where they host the visiting Bears of Ursinus College on Applebee Field.
