LANCASTER, PA- Bryn Mawr volleyball traveled to Lancaster, PA on Saturday afternoon to face the Diplomats of Franklin and Marshall College. The Owls fell to a strong Franklin and Marshall squad, 3-0.

Franklin and Marshall took the early lead in set one to go up, 6-1. After earning two points in a row, the Diplomats made another run to extend their lead, 15-3. Bryn Mawr answered with a kill from Zara Kepler but did not close the gap and fell to Franklin and Marshall in the first set.

To start set number the Owls traded points with the Diplomats. With the score tight, Franklin and Marshall strung together a few kills to pull ahead, 14-8. Kepler answered with a kill to pull the Owls within five points. She recorded three kills on the day and five digs.

After Kepler's kill, the Diplomats responded with four consecutive points to try and keep the Owls out of reach. First-year libero Charlotte Mullen helped Bryn Mawr get back on the board with a service ace, but Franklin and Marshall secured a set two win, 25-16. Mullen and Kepler stayed strong for the Owls defensively and tallied eight digs and 12 digs respectively.

The Diplomats made an early run in the third set to set themselves ahead, 7-2. Bryn Mawr responded with two back-to-back kills from Emma Loller and Tula Reihman. Franklin and Marshall halted the Owls' momentum by stringing together a six-point run. The Diplomats were able to win set three and the Owls fell in the match, 3-0.
