LANCASTER, PA- Bryn Mawr volleyball traveled to Lancaster, PA on Saturday afternoon to face the Diplomats of Franklin and Marshall College. The Owls fell to a strong Franklin and Marshall squad, 3-0. 

Highlights: 

• Franklin and Marshall took the early lead in set one to go up, 6-1. After earning two points in a row, the Diplomats made another run to extend their lead, 15-3. Bryn Mawr answered with a kill from Zara Kepler but did not close the gap and fell to Franklin and Marshall in the first set.  

• To start set number the Owls traded points with the Diplomats. With the score tight, Franklin and Marshall strung together a few kills to pull ahead, 14-8. Kepler answered with a kill to pull the Owls within five points. She recorded three kills on the day and five digs.  

• After Kepler's kill, the Diplomats responded with four consecutive points to try and keep the Owls out of reach. First-year libero Charlotte Mullen helped Bryn Mawr get back on the board with a service ace, but Franklin and Marshall secured a set two win, 25-16. Mullen and Kepler stayed strong for the Owls defensively and tallied eight digs and 12 digs respectively. 

• The Diplomats made an early run in the third set to set themselves ahead, 7-2. Bryn Mawr responded with two back-to-back kills from Emma Loller and Tula Reihman. Franklin and Marshall halted the Owls' momentum by stringing together a six-point run. The Diplomats were able to win set three and the Owls fell in the match, 3-0.
