HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr soccer program competed in their first away game of the season in an evening match on Wednesday against Penn State Harrisburg. The Owls' offense attempted to take advantage of multiple scoring opportunities, but the Nittany Lion's goalkeeper held strong and refused to let in a single goal. Despite a strong effort from Bryn Mawr, Harrisburg won the match-up 2-0.
Highlights:
- Harrisburg's offense controlled the opening minutes of the first half as Owls' goalkeeper Natalia Chorzepa '26 faced off against two shots, before Harrisburg scored at 25:05 on the clock.
- Chorzepa would go on to make a total of four saves throughout the game.
- Rece Anton '27 attempted a header at 35:21, but it was saved.
- Anton attempted a second shot at the beginning of the second half, but to no avail.
- Michaela Gwozdz '27 and Grace Floreck '24 each had a shot on goal of their own in the second half with Gwodz's shot being her first as an Owl.
- The Owls' last chance to get on the scoreboard occurred with less than six minutes remaining on the clock with a shot by Daniela Dosen '26, but it was saved by Harrisburg's goalkeeper Katherine Eimer.
The Owls now move to a 1-1-1 record for the season and will return to Applebee Field next Tuesday for a home game against Delaware Valley.
