Comeback Effort Puts Soccer Back in the Win Column

9/12/23 - Bryn Mawr, PA - The Bryn Mawr Soccer Team battled the Aggies of Delaware Valley University to a 3-2 win on Tuesday afternoon. 

Highlights:
  • The Aggies opened up the scoring early a little over 3 minutes into the game.  They scored their second and final goal six minutes later.
  • The Owls' hard nosed defense made the necessary adjustments and did not allow another goal for the remaining 81 minutes of the contest.  
  • Sophomore Goalkeeper, #00 Natalia Chorzepa, pulled off fantastic saves at crucial times to keep the score tied at 2-2.  She finished the game with seven total saves.
  • Three different Owls found the back of the net to secure the win.  First-year midfielder, #26 Rece Anton, scored her first collegiate goal off an assist from #15 Jess Johnson, her first collegiate assist.  The second goal for Bryn Mawr College was scored by first-year midfielder, Sophia Kearns, who also got her first collegiate goal today. She was assisted by Sarah Lohrey who got her first collegiate assist as well.  The third and final goal of the contest came just four minutes later as the Owls rode the momentum of their second goal.  Sophomore forward, #12 Daniela Dosen, found the back of the net off a pass from Sophia Kearns, her first collegiate assist.  
  • Through an outstanding collective effort, the soccer team secured the win.  


The Owls return to Applebee Field this Saturday as they open up conference play against Franklin and Marshall at 1pm.
