BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr volleyball team dropped to the Greyhounds of Moravian, 3-1 (15-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-14), after a first set win on Saturday afternoon at the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
Despite the loss, Owl
Emma Loller '27 led both sides with 13 kills while fellow first year Saya Felman led with 17 digs.
Greyhound Payton Reuber led her team with nine kills to play a .368 offensive clip while teammate Ally Plitnick tallied 21 assists.
Highlights:
- Bryn Mawr opened the contest with a 1-0 set lead with services aces by Anna Dravk '26 and Feldman.
- The Owls trailed by five late in the second set before winning the next four points to diminish the Greyhound's run (23-22). However, Moravian won the next two points to tie the match 1-1.
- Both sides kept it tight in the third set with eight ties before the Greyhounds pulled away with seven points in a row. Moravian would go on to record another stint of five points to take the lead in the match 2-1.
- Bryn Mawr earned their first lead of the final set (10-9) after kills from Felman, Elise Perry '26, and Zoe Boxill '25. However, Moravian won an impressive 11 straight points and the Owls trailed by 10. Loller recorded one more kill before the Greyhounds took the last set 25-14.
The Greyhounds move to a 6-8 record while the Owls drop to 3-6.
Volleyball will begin their conference play on Tuesday for an away match at Swarthmore.
