SWARTHMORE, Pa. –
Maya DiFrischia '23 scored the lone goal of the first half for the Owls against Swarthmore earlier Saturday afternoon and Swarthmore Isabela Bloomquist led the day with four goals.
Meghan O'Shea '23 and
Camille Franklin '24 scored back-to-back goals in the second half, but it was not enough to quell the Garnet lead and the Owls lost 13-5.
Swarthmore took a 2-0 lead in the first quarter before DiFrischia scored the Owls' first goal of the game. However, the senior would be the lone Bryn Mawr scorer of the first half. Swarthmore tallied four more goals to lead 6-1 at halftime.
Sloan Johnson '23 opened the scoring of the second half but was soon met with four consecutive Garnet goals to extend the home team's lead to 10-2.
Camille Franklin '23 scored her first of two goals late in the third quarter.
Meghan O'Shea '23 and Franklin had back-to-back Bryn Mawr goals in the fourth quarter, but the Garnet scored twice more in the quarter to hold their lead and win 13-5.
Elizabeth Tompkins '23 faced one of her toughest games in the cage but managed to record 11 saves against the Garnet offense.
Sophie Sangster '23 and
Claire Britton '23 each tallied two ground balls.
The Bryn Mawr lacrosse program will return next Wednesday for their last away game of the season against Haverford College.
