BRYN MAWR, Pa. -
Sophie Sangster '23 scored her first goal of the season against the Red Devils of Dickinson earlier Saturday afternoon.
Elizabeth Tompkins '23 saved 16 shots for her second highest number of saves in an individual game this season. A seven-goal run for Dickinson and a scoreless second quarter for Bryn Mawr proved the difference as Dickinson went home victorious 13-6.
Seeking their first win over Dickinson since 2000, the Owls took their lone lead of the game as
Maya DiFrischia '23 opened the scoring for the Owls early in the first quarter. But the Red Devils rallied for the next two goals, taking a 2-1 lead.
Sloan Johnson '23 scored two unassisted goals to give the Owls their closest comeback of the day before the Red Devils scored seven unanswered goals over the next 14 minutes.
Sophie Sangster '23 opened the scoring of the second half for her first goal of the season and
Camille Franklin '24 followed with another Owl goal for her 20
th goal of the season.
Dickinson scored the next three goals in the fourth quarter to take a 13-5 lead. In the last remaining five minutes,
Orli McGuire-Berk '25 scored her first goal of the game. This proved to be the last goal of the game and Dickinson took the day 13-6.
The Red Devils improved their record to 7-2 while Bryn Mawr dropped to 5-4.
The Owls will return to action on Wednesday for an away game against Muhlenberg.
