GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr lacrosse program returned to Pennsylvania for their third away game of the season against the Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy in a dominating 15-5 win. In the Owls second highest scoring game of the season, junior
Camille Franklin had a career day tallying five goals, the highest scoring game in her collegiate career. Franklin also contributed two ground balls, one assist and one caused turnover.
Riley Alexander started in the cage for the first time this season as fellow goalkeeper
Elizabeth Tompkins took a rest day in preparation for the Owls first home game of the season next week. The Owls offense had a strong opening quarter taking an early 5-0 lead. Midfielder
Chessa MacGregor scored the first goal of the game and would later score the last of the day as well. Fellow midfielder
Sloan Johnson kept the offense hot rounding out the scoring in the first quarter. Johnson would later put up two more goals and two assists. The midfielder also scooped up two ground balls and one caused turnover.
After Bryn Mawr extended their lead to seven early in the second quarter, Griffin Alysia Collins finally got Gwynedd Mercy on the scoreboard. However, Franklin would score twice in the second quarter to give the Owls a 9-2 lead going into halftime.

Sloan Johnson continued Bryn Mawr's tallying with two more goals in the second half of the third quarter.
Bryn Mawr maintained a commanding offense in the fourth quarter with attacker
Margot Becker and Franklin each scoring within the first five minutes. Although Gwynedd Mercy added three goals, it was not enough to quell the scoreboard. Before the end of the game, MacGregor grabbed the last goal of the game for a 15-5 win to move the Owls to 3-1 on the season.
The Owls will return on Wednesday to welcome Lancaster Bible for their first home game of the season.
