READING, Pa. – Behind a season-high of 19 points from junior
Hannah Binder, the Bryn Mawr basketball team bounced back from Saturday's setback and posted a 79-65 win over Penn State Berks Tuesday night in the Beaver Community Center.

Michelle Jiang, and
Kris Pasia also had strong games for the Owls as the trio combined for 38 points while Smith individually recorded a season high of 13 rebounds.
The Owls improve to a 2-1 record for the season while the Nittany Lions fall to 0-3.
Highlights:
- The Owls opened the first quarter with a quick 8-0 lead featuring three layups by Smith. The Nittany Lions tallied seven points to their board in the second half of the frame, but Bryn Mawr closed the opening stanza 17-12.
- Penn State clawed their way back to trail the Owls by only one point (20-19) in the opening minutes of the second quarter, but a three-pointer by first-year Cameron Richter resulted in a 7-0 run and an eventual 39-27 Owls lead at the end of the first half.
- The Nittany Lions opened the second half with a made layup, but Bryn Mawr held a solid lead throughout the entirety of the third quarter as the Owls outshot Penn State 25-19.
- Despite Penn State outshooting Bryn Mawr in the fourth quarter 19-15, the Owls maintained their control throughout the entirety of the final minutes of the game to lock down a six-point victory.
Bryn Mawr will compete in their first home game of the season on Saturday at 2pm as they welcome Bryn Athyn to campus.
