Aliya Stubenbord filled in for Bryn Mawr's regular goalkeeper
Natalia Chorzepa and recorded two saves while
Sarah Lohrey and
Lucia Engelhardt took a shot on goal, but neither team could find the back of the net.
The Owls move to 3-6-2 overall and 0-5-1 in Centennial Conference, while the Mules are now 2-8-3 overall and 0-6-1 in league action.
Highlights:
- The Mules came out on the attack and took two corners and a shot, but none ticked the scoreboard.
- The Owls responded with two attempts of their own with a high shot by Jess Johnson and a saved shot by Engelhardt.
- The Owls faced their biggest threat of the game from a penalty kick at 42:57 taken by Muhlenberg Emily Meenan. Stubenbord dove to save the kick and slid out of goal to save a second Muhlenberg shot attempt by Kate Johnson to keep the score even at halftime.
- Bryn Mawr captain Sarah Lohrey opened the second half with a shot from just outside of the center circle after a Mules foul, but it landed in the hands of Muhlenberg's goalkeeper.
- The Mules took the last shot of the game at 59:02, but it missed wide left.
Bryn Mawr will travel to Ursinus on Saturday for a 5pm kick-off in another Centennial Conference game.
