Haverford, Pa. - The Owls badminton team got their 2014-15 season off to a strong start with a 7-1 win over Haverford. Bryn Mawr shutout at all 5 singles matches and earned 2 wins out of 3 double matches to claim the big victory.

Team captain Tiffany Sheng only lost a total of 7 points in her two sets against her opponent (21-5, 21-2). Newcomer Alexandra Liu also did a great job winning her match by a score of 21-16, 21-9. Eram Haider (21-10, 21-16), May (21-16, 21-12), and Friend Chaiprasit (21-11, 14-21, 21-9) also all came out on top in their singles matches.

In double matches, both pairs of Stephanie Yang and Liu (21-11, 21-12), and May and Eram Haider (21-12, 21-15) won their matches in two sets. Chaiprasit and freshman Sarah Gift suffered the lone loss of the day with a score of 13-21, 11-21.
