BRYN MAWR, PA – The Bryn Mawr badminton team hosted the annual Main Line Doubles Tournament on Saturday, welcoming a host of players traveling from schools such as Swarthmore College, Haverford College, and Villanova University. The tournament consisted of nine events, 21 draws, and 114 players. Most matches were played in a round robin style. On the day, Bryn Mawr competed in the Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Women's Doubles Rookies, and Mixed Doubles Rookies events.
Highlights:
- Bryn Mawr Kirsten Tam and teammate Liya Zhang placed 2nd in the Women's Doubles C event.
- Tam earned another placement on the day, as she competed with Bryn Mawr badminton head coach Zak Miller in the Mixed Doubles A draw and won 4th place.
- In the Women's Doubles Rookies, Bryn Mawr teammates Isabel Gerlach and Nyemma DeAndrade earned 4th place.
- Nirvaa Shah and teammate Jingchen Hou tied for 3rd/4th in the Mixed Doubles Rookies draw.
