Box Score HAVERFORD, Pa. – Sophomore Nicolette Parmese recorded a game-high 16 points, her fourth consecutive game hitting double-digits, as Bryn Mawr fell to their archrivals, Haverford, 32-46.
Over the opening eight minutes of the game, the Owls led twice as Bryn Mawr and Haverford battled back-and-forth. With 11:36 left to play, Haverford's Hope Rainey tied the game at seven and then gave the Fords the lead for good with a free-throw less than a minute later. The Owls tied the game at 9:30 as junior Aislinn Toohey made one of two shots from the charity stripe.
Haverford ended the first on a 16-3 run to take a 24-11 lead into the half.
In the second, the Fords took their largest lead of the game, 25, with 9:42 to play as they held a 40-15 advantage.
Following a 30-second time out by the Fords, Bryn Mawr controlled the remaining 9:18 of the game as they outscored Haverford 17-6. Parmese tallied seven points during Bryn Mawr's run while Toohey added three. Sophomore Jackie Handy and Junior Soraya Terrab tallied two points each.
For Haverford, Dominique Meeks paced the Fords with 14 points and seven boards as Victoria Sobocinski added 12 points and five rebounds.
Parmese grabbed a team-best seven rebounds Handy pulled-down six. All seven Bryn Mawr players that saw action in tonight's game recorded at least one rebound. Constants ended the night with six points and Toohey chipped-in four.
Bryn Mawr is back to action Wednesday, February 8, when they travel to Muhlenberg College for a 7:00 pm showdown.
