BRYN MAWR, Pa. - After defeating Villanova by 9-0 earlier this month, the Bryn Mawr badminton team had its second game of the season against Haverford on November 26, 2012. The Owls defeated their arch rivals 5-1.

At No.1 singles, junior Xilei Kuang was defeated by 21-12, 21-12, while freshmanLamei Zhang won her first singles match of the year 28-21, 21-16, 21-15. Also playing in her first match this season at third singles was freshman Palak Bhandari by claiming a 21-15, 21-8 win. At fourth singles. Freshman Siyang You defeated her opponent 21-12, 21-15.

In doubles action, the No.1 tandem of sophomore Stepahie Yang and junior Amy Zhao won two of the three heated sets for their first doubles victory of the season, 21-19, 20-22, 21-19. Second doubles duo of freshman classmates Tina Xu and Linda Zhang won 21-12, 21-3.

Badminton is back to action on November 29, 2012, playing against Perkiomen School.
