Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Sophomore Nicolette Parmese scored a team-best 11 points and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds en route to her 9th double-double of the season, but top-ranked Johns Hopkins proved too much for the Owls. The Blue Jays used a 50-point second-half to down the Owls 94-28 in Centennial Conference action.
The Jays' took flight out of the gate as they soared to 18-2 lead in the opening 6:01. The Jays out-distanced themselves from the Owls the remainder of the half by outscoring Bryn Mawr, 26-6, to take a 44-9 lead into the locker room.
In the opening ten minutes of the second-half, JHU padded their lead to 47, before Parmese made one-of-two shots from the line.
Junior Aislinn Toohey scored all of her six points in the second-half via a pair of buckets from beyond the arch with the second coming with 1:13 remaining in the game.
Hopkins placed four players in double-digits as Jessica Brown led all scorers with 19 points. Off the bench, the Blue Jays tallied 56 points to win their 14th game of the season.
Sophomore Jackie Handy added nine points and nine rebounds while junior Soraya Terrab pulled-down three rebounds off the bench for the Owls.
The Owls return to action when they travel to Swarthmore on Wednesday, January 25, for a 6:00 pm contest with the Garnet.
