Daisy Sudparid joins the Owls for her first season as Assistant Coach with the volleyball program for the 2023 season.
Sudparid, originally from Los Angeles, California, competed as a volleyball player at the varsity and club levels, where she was a defensive specialist. After enlisting in the United States Navy, Sudparid had the opportunity to further fulfill her passion for volleyball by competing with the All Navy team, playing alongside enlisted sailors and officers from all over the world. After leaving the Navy, Sudparid earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the University of Texas San Antonio and taught mathematics at the secondary level for six years, during which time she also served intermittently as a volleyball coach. She then earned her Master of Science in Applied Mathematics at North Carolina State University, transitioned to teaching mathematics at the postsecondary level, and is set to begin her eighth year of teaching in the Bryn Mawr Mathematics Department.
Sudparid is excited to share her love of volleyball with the Owls and to be part of the volleyball program’s growth.
