Amanda Berg joined the Bryn Mawr tennis program in the spring of the 2024 season.
Berg began her collegiate playing career at the College of New Jersey, earning New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Year honors before transferring to Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). She was a three-time All-Conference selection in both singles and doubles and served as a team captain for two years.
As a competitive junior, Berg finished as a three-star recruit, ranking in the top 20 of Middle States for 18-and-under, and top 300 in the national USTA 18-and-under rankings. She has been a certified teaching professional since 2007 and served as an assistant coach at multiple Division III colleges including William Peace University, Dickinson College, and Gettysburg College.
Berg's coaching philosophy stems from a love of the game's ability to help individuals self-actualize on and off the court. In addition to coaching, Berg has served as a teaching assistant and adjunct professor in documentary arts and digital media production at Duke University, Ole Miss, and Gettysburg College. Berg received a B.F.A. in photojournalism from RIT in 2011 and earned an M.F.A. in experimental and documentary arts from Duke University in 2014.
She currently resides in the Philadelphia area and runs a mission-driven production company.
