Jeron Phillips Sr.

Jeron Phillips Sr. began his first season with the Bryn Mawr basketball program as an assistant coach in the summer of 2023. Phillips was then promoted to the role of Recruiting Coordinator in the summer of 2024.

The 2024-25 season was a benchmark year for the Bryn Mawr women's basketball team. The team had a record of 7-18, the most wins the program has seen since the 1993-1994 season, most points in a single season (1246), 2nd place in field goals made during a single season (476), and 10th place in steals in a single season (192).

Also for the 2024-25 season, senior and captain Jessica Smith earned All-Centennial Conference second-team. This marked the first time since 2004-2005 the Bryn Mawr Basketball Program received this honor and only the third player in program history to earn this honor. Smith also passed the 1000-point career mark. Smith is one of seven Bryn Mawr players to reach this feat.

Prior to Bryn Mawr, Phillips spent nine years at Providence Creek Academy in Delaware as the Head Boys Middle School Coach. He also spent three years as an assistant coach with the girls team and three years as an assistant coach for the football team. He also spent multiple years coaching youth football and basketball in Middletown, DE.

Phillips also has several years of experience assistant coaching AAU basketball in Delaware. He is passionate about player skill development, confidence building, and incorporating life lessons into the game of basketball.

Phillips' former basketball players have went on to play in college at schools such as Kutztown University, Bates College, and Rowan University, while his football players have went on to play at schools such as Davidson College, Merrimack College, Delaware Stare University, Southern Utah University, Kutztown University, and Frostburg State.

Phillips received his bachelor's degree in Integrated Studies-Sociology and Finance from Delaware State University.

“I'm grateful for the opportunity that Coach Coleman and former AD Fink extended to me entering my first year as an assistant coach at Bryn Mawr College in the summer of 2023. I have seen the vision of what Coach Coleman is building and I wanted to be a part of something special with the feeling of a family," said Coach Phillips.
