GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr volleyball team opened its 2026 campaign on the road inside Alumni Gymnasium in a Tuesday night clash with Arcadia. The Owls showed flashes of strong play but fell to the Knights in straight sets (25-18, 25-16, 25-11).
 
Highlights:

• The contest saw the two sides trade the lead several times in the opening stages before a five-point run from Arcadia pushed the home team ahead in the first set. Adelaide Grace recorded the first kill of the season for the Owls during the exchange. Bryn Mawr fought to chip away at the Knights' lead throughout the set thanks to a trio of kills from Lucy Divis, but a series of small runs from Arcadia kept BMC at arms-length to close out opening frame, 25-18.
• Arcadia took hold of the momentum early in the second set with a 6-0 rally before the Owls closed the gap with a 6-3 run of its own in response. The Knights built on its lead throughout the set, but a 7-1 point swing from BMC proved to be too late in the set to fully swing the momentum as they fell 25-16. Divis and Grace combined for five kills in the set while Lyra Aubry notched her third block of the match.
• Tula Reihman and Abigail Quigley notched kills during the final set but a strong showing from the home side closed out the contest, 25-11.
• Grace finished the contest with a team-leading six kills while Divis followed closely behind with five. Charlotte Mullen tallied 12 assists in the bout while Aubry led the defensive efforts at the net with three blocks.
