PENNSAUKEN, N.J.- The Bryn Mawr College rowing team competed at the MARC Championships on Saturday. The Owls competed in the Varsity 8+, 2nd Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4 races. Bryn Mawr placed 5th overall with 40 points.

Highlights:

• The Varsity 8+ boat competed in two races. They kicked off the day in the first heat, finishing 3rd in a time of 7:36.805. In the Grand Final, the Owls finished in 5th (7:36.96).
• The 2nd Varsity 8+ dominated throughout the day. In their first showing they placed 1st and won by a margin of nearly 20 seconds. In the 2nd Varsity 8+ final, the Owls secured a first placed medal in a tight race against Stockton and St. Mary's College of Maryland. The crew finished three seconds ahead of the Ospreys of Stockton to secure the gold medal.
• In the Varsity 4 race, the Owls secured a first place finish with a time of (9:16.86), earning valuable points for the squad.
