Owls Advance Two Boats to Saturday Finals at Dad Vail Regatta

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The Bryn Mawr College rowing team delivered a strong showing Friday at the annual Dad Vail Regatta, advancing both varsity 8+ crews to Saturday finals competition. The Owls earned spots in both the grand final and petite final after impressive performances throughout the day on the Cooper River.

Highlights:
  • Bryn Mawr opened competition in the varsity 8+ time trials, where the 1V crew placed fifth overall with a time of 7:03.391. The 2V followed with a ninth-place finish in 7:43.315, securing semifinal berths for both boats.
  • In the semifinals, the 1V turned in another standout performance, crossing the line in 7:22.100 to place second behind nationally ranked No. 15 Catholic University and clinch a place in Saturday's grand final.
  • The 2V crew posted a time of 7:46.150 in the semifinals, finishing fourth and comfortably ahead of conference rival Franklin & Marshall College to earn a spot in the petite final.
