GETTYSBURG, PA – The Bryn Mawr tennis team wrapped up their spring season on the road against conference opponent Gettysburg College, earning a 5–2 victory on Saturday. The Owls secured the early edge by taking the doubles point and carried that momentum into singles play, winning four matches to seal the result.
Highlights:
- The senior duo of Sophie Fenster and Gioanna Zhao capped their final doubles match as Owls in dominant fashion, cruising to a 6–1 win at No. 2 while dropping just one game.
- First-years Bianca Vesuna and Shay Villegas clinched the doubles point with a strong 6–4 victory at No. 3.
- Fenster (6–1, 7–5) and Vesuna (6–4, 6–4) each went undefeated on the day, earning singles wins at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively.
- Sophomores Claire Emanuel (6–2, 6–4) and Carina Roberts (6–3, 6–3) added to the Owls' total with straight-set victories at No. 3 and No. 5 singles.
