CONSHOHOCKEN, PA - Bryn Mawr rowing hosted its annual Upper Schuylkill Challenge on Saturday, welcoming Franklin & Marshall, Stockton, St. Mary's College of Maryland, Villanova, and Haverford to the Schuylkill River. The Owls competed across the Varsity 8+, 2nd Varsity 8+, Varsity 4, and mixed doubles/singles events in a full day of racing.
Following a strong day on the water, Bryn Mawr honored its senior class,
Blanca Berger Sollod,
Olivia Herman,
Margaret Levy, and
Juliana Vair, for their dedication and contributions to the program.
Highlights:
- The 2nd Varsity 8+ opened the day for the Owls, taking on conference opponents Franklin & Marshall and St. Mary's (MD). Bryn Mawr delivered a standout performance, earning first place with a time of 8:12.99.
- In the Varsity 8+, the Owls battled a competitive field to a third-place finish.
- The Varsity 4 crew also secured a third-place finish, crossing in 10:55.73 against St. Mary's (MD) and Stockton.
- Bryn Mawr's doubles team capped off the day with a strong second-place finish in 12:49.46.
