BRYN MAWR, Pa. – An action-packed final ten minutes of play saw the Bryn Mawr soccer team record a 1-1 draw with Haverford in Centennial Conference bout at Applebee Field on Wednesday afternoon.

Highlights:

• Bryn Mawr (1-7-2, 0-3-1 Centennial) and Haverford (5-3-3, 0-2-2) exchanged chances in the first half, with both sides posting three shots on goal each. The Fords tested Lily Blackman early in the contest, forcing a pair of saves within 30 seconds from the sophomore before reaching the eighth minute. It took just four minutes for the Owls to test Haverford's Allie Billups with Lourdes Sankar tallying the first shot for the home side.
• The best chance of the match came in the final minute as the Fords' Sophia Mitchell forced Blackman to make a tough save with just 40 seconds to play.
• Bryn Mawr grabbed hold of the match's momentum in the second half but saw the two sides continue to battle in a stale mate. A foul in the 83rgd minute saw the contest open up as Meesha Akbar set up for a freekick near midfield. The free kick found its way of a bounce to Beatriz da Silva who slotted the ball past Billups to give Bryn Mawr the lead.
• It took just over three minutes for Haverford to find a response as Mitchell collected a rebound and deposited the ball into the bottom right corner to level the score with just over four to play. Neither side could find a late, go-ahead goal as the contest ended in a 1-1 draw.
• Blackman made seven stops in the bout while the Owls were outshot 15-7.
