ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr volleyball team dropped a Centennial Conference contest in straight sets to Muhlenberg inside Memorial Hall on Wednesday night.
 
Highlights:

• After Bryn Mawr (5-10, 0-5 Centennial) and Muhlenberg (10-10, 2-2) went back-and-forth to a quick 2-2 score, the Mules went on a 13-1 run to jump ahead in the first set. Emma Loller notched the first kill of the contest for Bryn Mawr as the Owls began to slowly chip away at the lead. A five-point run from BMC moved the score to 23-15 but was not enough as Muhlenberg took the first set, 25-15.
• Tula Reihman and Abigail Quigley got the Owls on the board at the start of the second frame as the two sides moved the score to 3-3. A 13-2 run from the home side put the Mules ahead 16-5. From there the two sides traded short runs with each other as Muhlenberg picked up a 25-15 victory in the second set.
• A pair of aces from Lucy Divis helped the navy and gold jump ahead to a 4-0 lead. Muhlenberg tied the contest with its own four-point swing before a back-and-forth exchange moved the score to 7 apiece. Bryn Mawr took a 13-10 lead with a 6-3 run. Five-straight points from Muhlenberg saw the home team regain the lead at 15-13 before a three-point run from Bryn Mawr gave the visitors the lead once more. The two sides battled to a 21-21 tie before Muhlenberg closed out the game with four-straight points.
• Grace Adelaide and Reihman led the team in kills with four each while Divis, Quigley and Loller each had three.

 
Bryn Mawr returns to action on Wednesday, October 21 as they host Swarthmore for a 7 p.m. match.
