BRYN MAWR, PA - Earlier Wednesday, the Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors Association (Philly-SIDA) announced the 2025 Academic All-Area Women's Rowing Team, in which Bryn Mawr's own
Lindsay Damon '25 was named Performer of the Year. The Academic All-Area team was voted on by the Philadelphia metropolitan area's 30 sports information offices.
In order to be eligible for Academic All-Area, an athlete must be in his or her second year at the institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better.
Damon, a senior environmental studies major, was a member of Bryn Mawr's Varsity 8+ that placed second at the Dad Vail Regatta and at the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Championships while taking third at the Knecht Cup. She was an all-conference selection this year and earned the school's Most Valuable Rower Award.
Bryn Mawr leads the Academic All-Area team with three student-athletes with Drexel and Saint Joseph's placing two on the squad. La Salle, Penn and Villanova are represented by one rower each.
