LANCASTER, PA – Bryn Mawr College senior guard Jessica Smith has been named to the 2024-25 All-Centennial Women's Basketball Second Team, capping off a stellar collegiate career with another well-deserved honor. Smith's remarkable season was highlighted by historic milestones, consistent excellence, and key contributions to a record-breaking year for Bryn Mawr basketball.

A dynamic playmaker and leader on the court, Smith earned Centennial Conference Player of the Week (11/12/24) and reached the 1,000-point milestone in just 66 games, making her the third-fastest player in program history to achieve this feat. She finished the season as the third-highest scorer in the conference, averaging 15.7 points per game, while also ranking second in free throw percentage (.771).

Beyond her scoring prowess, Smith played a crucial all-around role for the Owls, leading the team in points (15.7 PPG), rebounds (7.6 RPG), assists (1.8 APG), and steals (2.2 SPG). Her standout performances included a career-high 30-point game against Sarah Lawrence (11/9/24) and season totals of 377 points, 182 rebounds, 53 steals, and 42 assists.

Smith's contributions were instrumental in a historic season for Bryn Mawr, as the 2024-25 team set a new program record for the most points in a single season (1,246), secured the second-most field goals made in a season (476), and placed 10th all-time in most steals (192).

Her impact extends beyond this season, as she leaves an enduring legacy in Bryn Mawr's record books. Smith finishes her career as the seventh-highest scorer in program history (1,125 points), fourth all-time in scoring average (15.2 PPG), and more.

With a combination of skill, leadership, and determination, Smith has cemented herself as one of the top players in Bryn Mawr basketball history. Her All-Centennial recognition is a fitting tribute to a career defined by excellence and a season that will be remembered for years to come.

Smith was not the only Bryn Mawr athlete to earn All-Centennial honors this season, as fellow senior Sena Kaper-Dale was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. This season, Kaper-Dale played in 20 games, contributed 57 bench points, and proved herself a leader both on and off the court. She will return to the team next season as a graduate student, bringing valuable experience and leadership to the Owls.
