GETTYSBURG, PA – The Bryn Mawr basketball team faced a tough challenge on Saturday afternoon, taking on the Centennial Conference-leading #13 Gettysburg Bullets. Despite their best efforts, the Owls fell 84-42 in the contest.

Senior captain Jessica Smith shone in her final game for the Owls, leading the team with a double-double performance. The veteran guard put up 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, showcasing her career ability to dominate on both ends of the court. Smith ends her career at Bryn Mawr as the 7th all-time leading scorer with 1,110 points and becomes the 4th all-time in scoring average with 15.2 points per game throughout her career.

The game began with promise for Bryn Mawr, as Smith and Mack scored early to keep the Owls within striking distance of the Bullets. However, Gettysburg's defensive pressure turned the tide. The Bullets capitalized on turnovers and fast-break opportunities, outscoring Bryn Mawr 24-11 in the second quarter to establish a commanding halftime lead.

Throughout the third quarter, Bryn Mawr struggled to capitalize offensively. Smith continued to attack the Bullets' defense and cashed in a key bucket in the middle of the quarter. Junior Hannah Govert sunk two free throws in the final minute of the frame to give the Owls some energy heading into the fourth.

Bryn Mawr fought hard in the final quarter, scoring 14 points to the Bullets' 16. First-year Allison Stoudt got on the board with a layup, and classmate Lyra Aubry contributed to the Owls' defense with a steal. Mack rounded out Bryn Mawr's offense during the final period with a couple of buckets and a block.
Seniors Hannah Binder, Kris Pasia, and Jessica Smith played their final game as Owls on Saturday afternoon. They contributed to a record-breaking season for Bryn Mawr basketball as the 2024-2025 team moves into the top spot in the record book for the most points in a single season (1246), 2nd place in field goals made during a single season (476), and 10th place in steals in a single season (192).
After a historic season, Bryn Mawr basketball turns it attention to the 2025-2026 season as they look to continue breaking records and building their program.
