Volleyball Falls to Johns Hopkins in Centennial Conference Opener

BALTIMORE, MD – The Bryn Mawr volleyball team opened Centennial Conference play on the road Saturday afternoon, taking on nationally ranked Johns Hopkins inside the Newton H. White Athletic Center. The Owls battled hard but ultimately fell to the Blue Jays in straight sets, 25-15, 25-13, 25-16.

Highlights:

  • From there, Elise Perry went on a rampage with a kill and two service aces to notch her 100th career ace. Reihman knocked in one last kill for the Owls before the Blue Jays closed the set, 25-15.
  • In the second frame, Loller opened with a strong kill from the outside, followed by Julia Zimmerman-Boyer scoring off an Anna Dravk assist. Despite the offensive push, Hopkins pulled away mid-set to win 25–13.
  • Johns Hopkins took an early 6-1 lead in the third set before a Zimmerman-Boyer kill off an Dravk assist. Dravk and Loller soon followed with their own kills.
  • Bryn Mawr tallied six straight points late in the frame with a kill by Reihman and Perry's third ace of the match before the Blue Jays closed the match with a 25–16 victory.
  • Bryn Mawr totaled 13 kills, 11 assists, 21 digs, and three service aces across the three sets. Perry led the Owls with six total points (three kills, three aces). Loller and Reihman combined for six kills, while Dravk paced the offense with seven assists. Saya Feldman anchored the defense with six digs.
