LANGHORNE, PA – The Bryn Mawr cross country team put together a strong team performance on Saturday at the Highlander Invitational, hosted by Cairn University. Behind a tight top-five pack and veteran leadership, the Owls raced to an impressive second-place team finish in a field of nearly 100 runners.
Highlights:
- Senior Sofie Prieto led the charge for the Owls, finishing 7th overall with a time of 26:28.3, continuing her standout season as one of Bryn Mawr's top finishers.
- Fellow senior Eva Ackley wasn't far behind, clocking in at 27:19.8 to secure a top-10 finish and help anchor Bryn Mawr's scoring effort.
- Rosa Carbon and Alyson Bostrom ran stride-for-stride, placing 16th (27:51.9) and 17th (27:57.5) respectively, showcasing the team's depth through the middle of the pack.
- Sophomore Emma Smirk rounded out Bryn Mawr's top five, finishing 31st out of 98 competitors with a time of 30:26.2 to seal the Owls' second-place team result.
Cross country will return on Saturday, October 18
