PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Bryn Mawr rowing team raced in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta earlier Saturday with a top four Division III placement in four events.
Highlights:
- Bryn Mawr kicked off the day in the Women's College Frosh/Novice 4+ event against boats from top programs like University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University, and Monmouth University. Overall, the Owls placed second against all Division III boats, finishing under 30 seconds behind Stockton University with a time of 16:46.176.
- Next up for the Owls was the Women's Championship 4+ with Bryn Mawr racing against over 57 teams across all divisions and finishing 11th against all Division III boats.
- In the Women's College Frosh/Novice 8+ event, Bryn Mawr placed 4th amongst all Division III teams competing with a time of 16:57.532.
- Sophomore Winona Wardell medaled in the Women's Collegiate Single with a third place finish against rowers from all divisions.
- Bryn Mawr placed ahead of Division III boats from St. John Fisher College and Franklin & Marshall College in the Women's Club Championship Eights. The Owls placed ninth against all Division III boats competing.
- The Bryn Mawr rowing team rounded out the Head of the Schuylkill in the Women's Championship 8+ with a time of 14:45.288.
