Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

ABINGTON, P.A.- Bryn Mawr volleyball traveled to Abington P.A. Saturday afternoon to play in a tri-match against Penn State Brandywine and Penn State Abington. The Owls had a clean sweep on the day as they won in a four-set match against Penn State Brandywine and a five-set thriller against PSU-Abington.

In their first match of the day, the Owls faced PSU-Brandywine and came out triumphant in a four to one win. The match started off hot for the Nittany Lions as they recorded three straight points during set one. However, the Owls did not back down and responded with four straight points of their own. The first set was marked by a trading of points until point 18 when first-year Zara Kepler had three aces in a row putting the Owls ahead 21-9.

Using the momentum from set one, Bryn Mawr continued its push with four unanswered points. Brandywine answered later in the set with five of their own points, yet a final push from the Owls helped them secure a set two win. Brandywine would go on to win set three to force a fourth set in the match. After some back and forth runs between the Nittany Lions of Brandywine and Bryn Mawr, the Owls pulled away to secure the win in the fourth and final set, 25-22.

In match number two against Penn State Abington, Bryn Mawr came out swinging as the Owls went on a 10-1 run in the opening set. At point 18, the set was tied after an Abington run pushed back against the Owls' early lead. Bryn Mawr and Abington traded points throughout the rest of the set until a kill from junior Micah Sheppard secured a set one win for the Owls, 28-26. Bryn Mawr once again took an early lead in set number two, but Abington remained relentless and fought back to tie the set and take the lead, 10-9. Set two ended with a PSU-Abington service ace to put the match at one set apiece. The opening of set three began intensely as both the Owls and Nittany Lions of Abington traded points for the first 18 of the set until an Abington block on Zara Kepler put them up by two. Abington made a run and set themselves ahead of the Owls by four points. Abington's attack continued throughout the set and the Owls fell 25-17. Set four was all Bryn Mawr as they battled back against Abington. First-year Tula Reihman had a crucial kill towards the end of the set that energized the Owls and a block by Lyra Aubry put the visitors ahead. After dominating set four, the Owls won 25-14 to force a fifth set.

In the deciding fifth set, Penn State Abington started out hot to go up 5-1. Yet, the Owls battled back and won the set 15-8 after two service aces from both Adelaide Grace and Charlotte Mullen
