Lacrosse Welcomes McDaniel to Applebee Field for a Conference Opener

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr lacrosse team welcomed McDaniel to Applebee Field earlier Saturday afternoon for the first conference game of the 2024 season. Due to the heavy rain conditions, both teams struggled to find their footing, and McDaniel took the win 24-6. Despite the weather, Bryn Mawr stayed positive while two Owls recorded notable goals.

Highlights:
  • Camille Franklin scored the first goal of the game at 13:32 in the first quarter. She would go on to score a second goal, her 17th of the season, at 4:13 in the first quarter off an assist by Maddie Sullivan.
  • Emma Miller tied the game for McDaniel, until Cailey Brousseau recorded the Owls' second lead of the day. This was Brousseau's first career goal, but it certainly would not be her last.
  • The Green Terror pulled ahead to 16-4 at halftime.
  • After two scoreless quarters for the Owls, Brousseau tallied her second goal of the game at 8:12 in the fourth quarter with an assist by Sullivan.
  • Bryn Mawr Fiona McHale tallied her first goal of the season seconds before the final buzzer.
  • In goal today for the Owls, Erica James played 42:34 minutes with four saves while Mia Rey played 17:26 to also tally four saves.
The Bryn Mawr lacrosse team will travel to Carlisle, Pa next Saturday to play their second conference game of the season against Dickinson.
