Field Hockey Gives Wesleyan (CT) First Loss of the Season

Box Score MIDDLETOWN, CT - The Bryn Mawr field hockey team traveled up to NESCAC territory to defeat Wesleyan University 3-1. 

Highlights:
  • Bryn Mawr opened up the scoring 24 minutes into the game when Thekla Jubinville assisted #17 junior forward, Sophie Vagts.  
  • The Cardinals answered with a goal of their own 10 minutes later to tie the game 1-1.
  • Senior forward Izzy Robinson-Cloete and sophomore forward Jasmine Peterson (assisted by Reba Ervin) each found the back of the goal to give the Owls a two goal lead.  
  • Bryn Mawr out shot Wesleyan 22 to five, forcing the Wesleyan goalkeeper to make seven saves to stay in the game.  
  • Owls' goalkeeper, sophomore Charlene Basque, fiercely defended her goal and finished the game with two saves.  

Bryn Mawr field hockey will stay in NESCAC territory and travel to Williams College tomorrow for a 1pm start.
