Soccer Holds Devils to Two Goals

Carlisle, PA - The Bryn Mawr Soccer Team finished their 2023 season battling the Dickinson Devils to a 0-2 final score.  The Owls were able to hold the Devils to only two goals, a significant improvement from last season.

Highlights:
  • The Owls' defense stayed busy on Saturday afternoon as the Devils rattled off 13 shots throughout the contest.  Senior Goalkeeper, Aliya Stubbenbord, was pivotal in the team's succes and had an incredibly impressive season high 10 saves while facing 12 shots.  Stubbenbord never backed down from the ball and kept working until the final whistle blew.
  • #15 Jess Johnson helped keep her team in the game with her goal line clearance.
  • The Bryn Mawr offense worked hard to get shots off throughout the contest.  #6 Sarah Walker, #8 Sarah Lohrey, and #27 Madeline Cohen were all successful in getting shooting opportunities.
  • Dickinson's Nora Heacock, opened up the scoring 27 minutes into the contest unassisted giving Heacock her third goal of the season.  15 minutes later Sophia Elguera and Norah Anderson assisted Sarah Cudmore for the second and final goal of the day.
  • The Owls' Seniors played a determined effort in their last game for Bryn Mawr.

The Owls finish their season with a 3-10-3 record, 0-8-2 in conference.
