Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Muhlenberg swept Bryn Mawr, 3-0 (25-4, 15-16, 25-8), Wednesday evening at Memorial Hall.
The Mules hit .444 percent for the match and limited the Owls to a -.107 clip.
The Owls were led offensively by
Emma Loller with five kills, as Loller hit .077 percent for the match. Setter
Anna Dravk registered nine assists while outside hitter
Micah Sheppard collected four digs.
Highlights:
- Muhlenberg hit .667 in the first set to take an early 1-0 lead and caused the Owls' Head Coach Hayley Kirby to call two timeouts as the Mules took a 15-point lead.
- After the timeout, Saya Feldman and Loller each had a kill for the Owls, but it would be the last points of the set for Bryn Mawr and the Mules won the first set 25-4.
- The Owls improved their offensive rhythm in the second set as they managed a .045 percent, their best of the evening. Loller led the offensive charge for the Owls with four kills from Dravk and one service ace.
- Despite Bryn Mawr's effort, Muhlenberg tallied 15 kills for a .345 percent and took the second set 25-16.
- The Mules took an early 9-2 lead to force the Owls into a timeout. Sheppard recorded the Owls' lone kill of the set, but Muhlenberg's offense overpowered the visiting team as the Mule's won their first Centennial Conference match of the season.
Bryn Mawr will return home on Saturday afternoon for a Centennial Conference match-up against Dickinson in the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
